St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church is delighted to welcome Rev. Dr. Álvaro Pinzón as our new priest, joining us in joyful partnership as we begin this next chapter of ministry together.
Father Álvaro—known to many as Fr. Al—was born in Colombia and earned his PhD in Canon Law from the Gregorian University in Rome. He served as a Roman Catholic priest for 22 years before being received as an Episcopal priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in 2020.
Most recently, Fr. Al served at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Houston, where he helped build a vibrant and thriving Hispanic community. He is also the founder of “Aliento de Dios” Radio, a ministry that reaches listeners across the United States and Central America.
Father Álvaro speaks Spanish, Italian, and is conversant in English. He will begin his ministry with us on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
