Welcome to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church!
If you are human, you are welocme and wanted for full participation...no small print!
We are a community rooted in the promises made at baptism to "seek and serve Christ in all persons, honoring our neighbor as ourselves," and to "strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being." As such, diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California and are embraced as key practices to thiriving and faithful life in the Church.  - Statement of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California
At St. Timothy’s we believe in and practice Baptismal Ministry. We are self-supporting and supportive of one another.   The spiritual growth of the congregation is guided by clergy and lay persons responsible for facilitating worship, pastoral care, and fellowship. The business of the congregation is run by a Vestry.

Confession of Sin

Confession of Sin before a priest, technically known as “auricular confession,” is a part of our Anglican heritage. Though is often underused, it is always available. Confession is not a requirement in the Episcopal church. The general guideline is “all may, some should, none must.” Priests who hear confessions in the Episcopal Church are bound by the vows of secrecy. What they overhear (in truth, the penitent is confessing to God in the presence of the priest) will never be disclosed or discussed with anyone else.  Confession in this manner can have a powerful impact on one’s spiritual condition – it can be truly soul healing. If you should desire to confess your sins in this manner, call Father David, or the church, to arrange an appointment. 530-846-4147
