Our Deacons served as disaster chaplains through the Gridley Camp Fire Distribution Center and served activley on the Gridley Camp Fire Relief Committee and as liaisons to the Chico Camp Fire Collaborative and it's Spiritual and Emotional Wellness Group. The Gridley group sponsored the efforts of the Gridley Camp Fire Distribution Center to provide non-perishable foods, toiletries, household supplies, and clothing to wildfire survivors registered with FEMA or the American Red Cross.
St. Tim's provided gift cards made available by Episcopal Relief and Development. We also provided meeting space for three six-week courses to assist wildfire survivors recover from the trauma of this disaster. These courses were provided by a licensed therapist. Several of our members provided many volunteer hours through their service clubs and organizations to assist the survivors at our fairgrounds and the FEMA village and through the Gridley Chamber of Commerce.
